Former members of the tao squad will make it to Intel Challenge Super Cup 8 after all, with financial support from Virtus.pro.
Following yesterday's report concerning tao canceling their participation in Intel Challenge Super Cup 8, it has now come to light that Virtus.pro has stepped in with financial support to aid some of the members in order to take part.
Yesterday's event also resulted in the disbandment of tao, with three of the team's members – Nikolay "MNR" Kirpichev, Sergey "hally" Shavaev and Denis "seized" Kostin – moving on to create a new team, under the name fbgaming.
LeX to ICSC 8
Currently, the team only boasts four members, with the newest addition being the former need2lead player Kirill "delm1k" Balachevcev. He will travel together with the squad to Kiev, as Nikolay "MNR" Kirpichev will be unavailable.
According to the official announcement made by Virtus.pro, the Russian-based organization will cover the expenses involved with travel and accommodation for three of the former tao members, while also bringing along two Virtus.pro representatives.
From Virtus.pro, the two representatives are Anton "Sneg" Cherepennikov and Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov, with the former being the project's manager. Together with the players from fbgaming, they will compete in Group A.
fbgaming will display the following:
Sergey "hally" Shavaev
Denis "seized" Kostin
Kirill "delm1k" Balachevcev
Anton "Sneg" Cherepennikov
Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov
